Booking fees and payments

(updated SEP 2020 - Covid-19/Coronavirus)

It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking form to agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By completing the booking form and paying a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by these conditions.

Covid 19

 By sending my deposit to RoseForrest for any service/s required I confirm that;

* I have considered the risk of transmission of Corona virus as a result and would still like to go ahead.
* I understand that Rose Forrest cannot accept responsibility for transmission of the Covid-19 should I become infected

Client is responsible for notifying Rose of any health concerns of the bridal party she will be working on who has recently returned (in the last 14 days) from: • Italy • Iran • China - specifically Hubei province • South Korea - specifically Daegu, Cheongdo or Gyeongsan • Any other countries/regions added to high risk categories in the future (please check the Gov.Uk website for most recent areas added to the list)

*Rose reserves the right to not work with members of the bridal party who show signs of illness/have travelled to affected areas or who have had contact with ill persons/persons who have travelled to affected areas (in last 14 days).

*No refunds will be given for on the day cancellations based on health concerns.

Client is responsible for bridal party taking reasonable care around hygiene practices on the wedding day.

*If the wedding is postponed or rescheduled the deposit/balance paid can be carried over to new date (dependant on availability). All payments towards the new date are non refundable should the new date be cancelled or postponed again. 

Booking Fees!

Following your initial enquiry, if you wish to proceed, A 30% BOOKING FEE is required to secure your date. Your date IS NOT confirmed until I have received payment of your booking fee. This is a non-refundable (within reason see below, 'cancellations and changes to bookings') non-transferrable booking fee. Your wedding date is then no longer available to any other interested parties. The booking fee of 30% is deductible from the final balance and is not a pre-payment for trials. Trial costs are charged separately and due on the date of the trial. The remaining balance is due no later than 2 WEEKS before the wedding day and to be paid into the same account as your deposit. Payment must be made in full from the brides account only and referenced 'wed day payment'


Trial Sessions

Please be aware that the majority of trial appointments are available weekdays due to the high demand of weddings on weekends at a time that is appropriate for both parties concerned. They will take place at 27 St Pauls road, Weston Super Mare, BS23, 4AD unless arranged and agreed otherwise.


28 days’ notice must be given if you wish to cancel or reschedule a trial appointment.


Payments for trial sessions are due on the trial date and can be paid via online banking or cash. Although the majority of trials will take place on a weekday, I will try and accommodate bookings in extreme circumstances e.g. If the bride is living abroad and only in the UK for a short period of time. 28 days’.

Should I feel that after a trial session there is a significant mismatch in personality’s or unreasonable expectations and if the client, or any other member of the bridal party in attendance, is uncooperative, disrespectful or impolite, I reserve the right to cancel a booking following the trial without a refund of the booking fee.


Please note that your hair WILL NOT be washed during your trial. Please ensure you read MY 'Pre-appointment checklist, found on my website – https://www.roseforrestmakeupartist.co.uk/your-pre-appointment-check-list . It is your responsibility to let me know if you have any allergies or skin sensitivities before the trial begins. If you do not, I cannot be held responsible.


Travel Expenses

Travel expenses are expected to be covered at a charge of 0.45 per mile. The cost of both journeys too and from are expected to be covered.. It is the BRIDE'S responsibility to inform me in advance of any parking issues, restrictions or charges in order for the booking form and final balance to be adjusted accordingly. If any parking charged are not paid prior to the day they will be expected to be reimbursed in cash on the day.


I can start my journey as early as 5.00am. Should I need to leave earlier, a surcharge of £25 will apply. If there is great distance to travel, possibilities of adverse traffic or weather conditions, or if limited time is available to attend to members of your wedding party, I will require accommodation the night before in an adequate B&B or hotel.

This will be a chargeable cost; however, I always strive to book the most cost-effective solution and do not charge for my time should it be sensible to be nearby the night before your wedding. This is in the best interest of the bride who is then safe in the knowledge that I am in the locality on the wedding morning. Travel expenses are calculated and invoiced at the time of your booking. Should there be later changes to locations or timings, the relevant adjustments will be made.


Additional Assistants


If you wish to book an assistant due to early starts, high numbers of people to get ready and so forth, there will be an additional charge of £30



Cancellation or changes to bookings

***If I must cancel or change your booking
 In the extremely unlikely event that I cannot attend on the day of your wedding due to unforeseen and unfortunate events or circumstances, all payments will be immediately refunded (not including deposit which covers admin costs) I will work with you/on your behalf to find an alternative reputable stylist/artist or salon to cater for your requirements. However, any such booking will remain solely the responsibility of yourself.

All contract changes of any kind must be from the bride or ‘person responsible’ for the original booking only. Due to my administration procedures, I am unable to accept further or additional contact from bridesmaids or relatives unless this has been previously agreed. For example; if you have initially specified that your Maid of Honour will be taking care of all bookings/deposits/appointments and she has contacted us in the first instance, this will be agreed as the ‘person responsible’.


You are required to give a minimum of three months’ notice should you wish to reduce bridal party numbers or services that were specified on your booking form for your wedding day. After such time the full amount for services and/or bridal party members cancelled will still be payable. Should you wish to add another person to your bridal party for hair or make up on the day, this must be agreed in advance. I am rarely able to add extra people on the day without prior arrangement, as this could jeopardise the time schedule and cause delays to the start of the ceremony. If I know in advance, I can bring a member of my team to assist.


In the unfortunate event that you NEED to cancel your booking completely, I require a minimum of three months’ notice in writing. After such time, the full amount will still be payable by the specified date. Booking fees and trial payments are non-refundable. Please ensure you have adequate wedding insurance that will cover you in this instance as I will proceed with legal action to recover any losses if necessary.


On the wedding day, if myself, or any member of my team is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, or mistreated, or if any member of your bridal party becomes abusive/violent/disrespectful or displays any other offensive behaviour, I have the right to cancel the contract and leave the premises without refund.


In the event of extreme weather conditions, where a ‘Red’ warning has been issued and my safety would be jeopardised, I reserve the right to cancel your booking.

In the case of a local, national or worldwide Pandemic (much like Covid-19) I will not be able to issue a refund. I with hold the right to cancel any bookings with you. You also hold the right to cancel but under neither circumstance will a deposit be refunded. If you choose to postpone your wedding/ change the date as long as I am fit, well and able to do so then I will commit and carry out all services previously booked on the new date.  

Should I experience unforeseen travel delays which are beyond my control resulting in one or more services being forfeited, I am unable to issue refunds.



No compensation will be offered if timings overrun because of this. If you are aware of any factors which could delay or hinder our journey, such as diversions, road closures, speed restrictions, match days, market days, Satnav etc. please advise me as soon as possible so I can factor this into my route.


No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. Please ensure your bridal party or guests are aware of timings I give you for their arrival. They will need to be available at their allocated times and if late, I reserve the right to cancel their services so as not to disrupt the rest of the wedding morning time schedule. Please ensure every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and where they need to be, and to remain available at all times. I operate in a calm and professional manner and lateness by any of your bridesmaids/guests can seriously upset the ambience of the morning. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may be difficult in any way, please encourage them to book a trial session which will avoid any potential problems on the day which may cause delays and disruption.


It is worth noting that, since the start of my career, providing hair and makeup for weddings, none of the above has ever happened.


Client obligations on the wedding day

Please ensure that I have a suitable working area with adequate natural lighting, electricity points, chairs and hand washing/toilet facilities are available.


You are required to inform me of any allergies or sensitivities of yourself and your bridal party prior to make-up application or hair styling, or any adverse reactions to products I may have used during trial sessions. If no known allergies are stated I cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party.


Before having make-up applied or hair styled please ensure you and your party are prepared, to avoid leaving the chair whilst I am working. Timing is crucial to ensure a relaxed wedding morning and time can be wasted unnecessarily by continuous interruptions.


Please ensure that all makeup is removed thoroughly, teeth are cleaned, and contact lenses are applied (if applicable), before I begin. Please do not eat or speak on your mobile phone during makeup application. False lashes, unless professionally applied eyelash extensions should be removed.


Please do not sit children/babies on your lap whilst having your hair styled or make-up applied. For their own safety, please ensure that children are always kept away from our styling tools and products. Styling tools can be extremely hot, and hazardous, and I cannot be held responsible if a child is injured because of the parent or carer not being fully in control of a child.


Hair must NOT be washed and dried on the wedding morning before having it done. Please also ensure ALL of the bridal party have thoroughly washed their hair the night before the wedding (unless hair is short or unless as the bride you have arranged your hair to be blowdried) I do not have time to dry and style hair and this can seriously effect timings. If any areas of the scalp are not shampooed and rinsed carefully the night before, particularly at the nape of the neck it can have an adverse impact on dry styling methods and the results needed to prep the hair properly for styling, which could then affect the finished style.


All persons receiving make-up application or hair styling are invited to book a trial prior to the event to determine colour and styling choices. In the event that this is not possible, the Client automatically agrees to the colour and product choices selected by the Artist on the day of the event.


I will need to be informed in advance at the trial session if hair extensions are to be used or required by any member of the bridal party and I will only work with 100% real hair extensions.



Please do not over condition hair or use any straighteners; light conditioner on the ends is fine but oils and heavy styling products should not be used at all. I will bring all the styling products I need that produce great results. Please ensure after make up and styling, members of the bridal party do not venture into adverse weather conditions or put themselves in an environment that could negatively effect the hair or make up, i.e. a steamed up humid bathroom, and that small children are discouraged from running and jumping.


Photography & Image Copyright
It is highly likely you chose my hair and makeup services by viewing my portfolio, which reflects my work style, experience and skills. I constantly update my portfolio, so my work can be viewed by future and prospective brides. Please let me know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or if you are not happy for me to use your images for marketing purposes. I am particularly aware that permission may be required from parents of minors under the age of 16 that may appear in photographs of my work. I am happy to be photographed on your wedding morning however, any photo image incorporating myself or my team in action, or my hair and/or make-up design, used by the photographer on social media or on any other advertisement, editorial feature or blog, must credit me as the hair and/or makeup artist.

I avoid Facebook or Instagram messenger for my confirmed brides due to the high numbers of social media enquiries I receive daily. By keeping my brides’ messages on WhatsApp or email, I can avoid missing any important communication and also avoid having to search through all the other options to find your message if I need to refer back to it.
